Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress who has appeared in television and film. Her characters include Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future. Homefront, Earth 2 Armageddon. NCIS Flashpoint, Left Behind: World at War.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto (Ontario) to Joanna Noyes, an actor as well as Jan Steen who is a actor and director. She is of Dutch, Scottish and Irish descendance.



 



 Steen is also an advocate for animal rights and environmentalist, in addition to her entertainment business. She supports David Suzuki and the World Society for the Protection of Animals. She's a certified diver and has a solid understanding of several circus arts - including stilt-walking, and fire-twirling.

She is the middle child in a family of seven. Her father, Herman Paffrath (also an actor), was her middle child. When she was a kid, her family performed newscasts and plays at family's parties. Her mother enrolled her into jazz, ballet and tap class when she was just three years old.  Paffrath was a Missouri School of Journalism student. Paffrath also worked as an intern for Entertainment Tonight in Los Angeles. Paffrath earned her degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2005. She relocated to Los Angeles early in 2006.

Her middle name was later changed into Claire. Her father, Man Shun ("Horace") Ho, is Chinese. Ho studied at the University of London, receiving a (B.Sc Physics and applied Mathematics; M.Sc Computer Science). Christiane (nee Nicolette), her mother, is French. Her family relocated from France to Toronto, Canada, when she was five years old. Holt was a student at St. Joseph's Morrow Park Catholic secondary school located in Willowdale. She worked as model on runways in Paris before becoming an actress. Adrianne Ho her younger sister is a model and designer.
